Lip Gloss - Small Biz Saturday

Hey fam, HAPPY SATURDAY! I would like to introduce you to my talented little sister whom I met from Instagram (let mr tell you made many friends through ig and I love it) Here is Mikaela who is the CEO behind her makeup line Emerald St. Cosmetics

So how did she come up with the name of her makeup line? She said, “I came up with this name for my upcoming small business because I grew up on Emerald St. back when I lived in the Philippines. I wanted to create a name that has sentimental value to me and always remind how far I’ve gotten in life.”

How the love of makeup came about, the CEO mentioned that she always had a passion for makeup and beauty ever since she was a little girl.  She went on saying, “I remember sneaking off to the bathroom and putting on my grandma’s red lipstick when I was just 2 years old! Since then, my love for makeup just blossomed throughout the years and my dream of creating my own products developed. When it comes to creating makeup, she loves the power it has with bringing joy and confidence to people who wear her products. Whenever she creates new items, she ensures that her products will look amazing on everyone!

Mikaela recently posted she is selling lashes and also stated it's probably the hardest item to create for her brand, "I worked with a company who specializes in creating lashes and it took such a long time for this collection to get made. With me being a perfectionist, I’m very meticulous with every little detail that goes into what I create, so that made the process even longer," she stated.

With everything she out out her favorite item is the Crystal Lipgloss collection! She thought of this idea when she was at a metaphysical store looking at crystals and thought to herself, “why don’t I create makeup that encapsulates the beauty of crystals?” then this whole idea turned into a reality!

With the fall season so in her popular items in her shop right now are  the “October” and “Carnelian” lipglosses and my Cinnamon Roll lip scrub! Starting her own business, she learned that being part of the small business community is such an amazing blessing and she is truly grateful for everyone she  met along this journey. She also added, “It is important to celebrate small wins. Constant, small progress is still progress. So these steps are crucial in reaching your dreams!”

Till next Saturday Fam!
